Fraternal Order of Eagles

The Marion Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #4522 received our
charter on April 26th 2009.


We have raised money for:

    • 27 turkeys and 54 hams to the Marion Pantry
    • Truck load of food and supplies ($500) to Marion Pantry
    • $1000 grant to Marion Cares
    • $1000 Grant to Marion Police Department DARE Program
    • Serving 190 Thanksgiving turkey dinners to the needy
    • Donating 100 meals to Marion Independent School District’s
    Holiday Giving Project



As a national organization we are giving $25 million over 5 years to
develop the Fraternal Order of Eagles Diabetic Research Center to be located at
the University of Iowa Hospital.


We are currently raising money for:

    • $500 Scholarship Grants to Marion and Linn Mar High Schools
    • $100 to The State Charity for Diabetes research at the University
    of Iowa
    • $50 each to Fraternal Order of Eagles Charities which include:
         Diabetes, Spinal Cord Injury, Golden Eagles (Elderly Projects), Cancer,
         Crippled Children’s Fund, Child Abuse Prevention, Kidney, and
         Alzheimer’s Funds

    • $1000 Grant to Marion Police Department DARE Program (2 )

We volunteered time to Marion’s Christmas in the Park assisting
with the Carriage Rides.

We organized a benefit night for a teenage cancer patient.
