Population Reference Bureau Summer Internship Program 2008
The PRB seeks four interns for the summer of 2008 in the following departments: Domestic Programs
(1), International Programs (1), and Communications and Marketing (2). Depending on level of skill,
the interns will assist senior PRB staff members with a variety of tasks ranging from data collection
and analysis to communicating policy relevant information on child and family issues, reproductive
health, gender, poverty, aging, and migration. Application deadline is April 25.
Snap Survey Workshops
The BGSU Office of Institutional Research has scheduled two workshops to show you how to use
Snap Survey Software. Snap is available to you at no charge, but ITS must install the software and
file sharing capability on your PC. Bill Knight, Director of the BGSU Office of Institutional Research, is

2008 WLS Pilot Grant Program – Applications due May 27
The Center for Demography of Health and Aging at the University of Wisconsin-Madison will award
two to three pilot grants to investigators using the WLS data for scholarly research. Selected
recipients will receive $10,000 to support their research, along with a residency at CDHA, where they

Workshop Ideas for Fall Semester
Add Health confusion?...Conference preparation anxiety?...SAS/SPSS/Stata befuddlement? We have
begun scheduling workshops for Fall semester and invite your suggestions. Please call our office or
reply to this email if you have a topic to recommend. Summer workshops are being finalized now.
