Other BAYR Club News
We can definitely say that 2003 has gotten off to an exciting start, with the inauguration of our first Republican Governor and Lt. Governor in 3 decades, followed by a controversial and heated Legislative Session in Annapolis. The BAYR’s even got in on some political action at our April Brew Ha Ha event, when Michael Steele made his first visit with us as Lt. Governor of Maryland, and was met by an obnoxious group of protestors who were unhappy with impending budget cuts to their program. Fortunately, Lt. Governor Steele rescheduled his meeting with us later in the spring and filled us in on the 2003 Legislative Session as well as some long-term goals of the Maryland Republican Party. Thanks to Les Richardson & his family for providing their home for this event. At the April Brew Ha Ha, we also had our Executive Board elections for the BAYR’s. Congratulations to our elected officers: President Vice-President (county) Vice-President (city) Treasurer Secretary Georgia Woerner (re-elected) Les Richardson (re-elected) Lorraine Pontillo Tiffany Robinson (re-elected) Kim Collins

UPCOMING EVENTS:
Other tentative events on our schedule include a possible pool party in White Marsh and beach party in Ocean City.

In September, we look forward to having Chuck Muth, President and CEO of Citizen Outreach, talk with us about his experiences in doing campaign work for the Republican party. This should get us psyched up for the upcoming presidential campaign season.
