Walla Walla County Health Department has received _X_ additional complaints
regarding your business’ violation(s) of Washington’s revised Clean Indoor Air Act,
RCW 70.160. Implementation of this law began on the 8th of December, 2005. The law
requires:
    Signs prohibiting smoking be posted at all entrances to business establishments
    No smoking of any kind in public places and workplaces
    No smoking within a presumptively reasonable minimum distance of twenty-five
     feet from entrances, exits, windows that open, and ventilation intakes
To assist you in compliance with the revised Clean Indoor Air Act we are providing you
with a copy of the law, a model compliance plan for RCW 70.160, a set of frequently
asked questions on the new law, and two “No Smoking” signs. Please return your
completed compliance plan to me at Walla Walla County Health Department, 310 W.
Poplar St STE 102, Walla Walla, WA 99362 by (today’s date +7 days).
Our goal is to assist you in complying with the law; however, if you do not comply, we
must resort to further action which can include fines of up to $100 per day for each day
you do not comply with the Washington Clean Indoor Air Act.
