RAISING THE BAR IN EVERYONES BACKYARD
Omni has made a commitment!
Engagement of Vendors and securing a similar level of action based commitment to
Environmental stewardship through the implementation of environmental management systems
which are openly accountable and externally verified.

So what does this mean?
We have made a commitment and backed that up with action.
   • We have made a commitment to environmental stewardship and backed that up by
developing and implementing environment management systems which were certified to
ISO 14001:2004 in Jan 2008 in the GTA with all other branches to follow in 2008.

Omni wants to deal with vendors who are like minded, committed and acting.
   • As part of our own commitment and objectives we have declared that we will only deal
with vendors who take a similar view of environmental stewardship.

How do we know who shares this view?
   • Firstly we ask all vendors about their policy and commitment to the environment and how
       that translates into actions.
What’s your policy and commitment to the environment?

How do we know who’s walking the talk?
   • We ask vendors to prove that their policy statements are not hollow rhetoric by having the
implementation of their policies, systems/procedures audited by a qualified independent
       person.
                                                                               Can you prove it?

How do we know the standard reached and that vendors are improving?
   • We require that the yard stick used to measure Environmental management systems, by
the independent auditor, is an internationally recognized standard which has been
adopted as a national standard of Canada by the Standards Council of Canada. ISO
       14001:2004 is that standard.

Get certified to an internationally recognized standard!
