Principal’s Message
The
parties
are
over,
the
feasting
is
done,
we
return
to
the
routines
of
school
and
work,
and
once
again
we
usher
in
a
new
year.
The
achievements
and
failures
of
the
last
year
are
retreating
into
history,
relegated
to
the
past,
and
we
face
a
fresh
beginning,
full
of
hope
and
promise.
New
challenges
await,
new
goals
beckon,
and
we
have
the
opportunity
to
re-‐cast
and
recommit
our
lives
in
accordance
with
God’s
subtle
call.
May
2010
be
a
year
of
living
in
harmony
with
each
other,
may
our
relationships
grow
in
love
and
understanding.
May
our
awareness
and
generosity
toward
those
who
are
challenged
daily
just
to
survive,
continue
through
the
year,
remembering
that
whatsoever
we
do
to
the
poorest
in
out
midst,
we
do
also
to
Christ.
I
would
also
like
to
take
this
opportunity
to
thank
all
who
donated
at
our
Christmas
Concert
–
we
raised
$684
for
the
needy
–
it’s
that
kind
of
generosity
that
can
change
the
world!
Peace,
Mr. Di Castri

Dear family members and friends of St. Joseph’s School:
Would you please sponsor me, as I will be ‘hiking’ the Galloping Goose Trail along
with my school friends, to raise money for the poorest of the poor children in Haiti,

Dear friends-- Happy New Year!
This email is to remind you of the exciting fact that in two weeks, Edwina Gateley will be

I hear God Laughing: Edwina’s Journey
In this Passionate Lives presentation, Edwina Gateley will share her joys and struggles in
responding to God’s call to make a difference in the world, from the Africa desert to the bars
and brothels of the American inner city. With Edwina, we’ll reflect on how faith and prayer
lead us to discover the power of the Holy Spirit at work in the contemporary world and in
our own hearts.
