Reminder: Monday, January 18, is Martin Luther King Day and there will be NO SCHOOL.
EXTENDED CARE CENTER:
The Extended Care center will be CLOSED Monday, January 18 (Martin Luther King Day).

KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS BREAKFAST:
On Sunday, Jan. 31, the Knights of Columbus #6794 will be serving breakfast in conjunction with Catholic
Schools Week after the 8:00 am and 10:30 masses. Come to the cafeteria and enjoy a delicious meal of Eggs, Hash
Browns, Biscuits & gravy, Ham or Sausage, Juice and Coffee. Adults - $6.00, Child - $3.00, Family $20.00
CATHOLIC SCHOOLS WEEK: January 31 – February 5:
Sun., Jan. 31 10:30 am Family Mass. The Book Fair will be open during the Knights of Columbus Breakfast
on Sun., Jan. 31.

The Book Fair will begin on Sat., Jan 30th and run thru Feb. 5 during Catholic School Week. Order forms will be
sent home on Jan. 25. The books will be on display in the Annex Hallway between the cafeteria & the Parish

VIP PANCAKE BREAKFAST:
Please invite the Very Important People in your children's lives to our VIP Pancake Breakfast on Friday, February
5th, from 7:00 to 8:30 am in the Parish Hall. We welcome all parents, grandparents, and VIP's to celebrate
Catholic Schools Week and the many successes of our school and students on this day. Cost is $3 per person (we
will not charge more than $15 per family) and breakfast includes pancakes, sausage, coffee, and juice compliments
of our friends at Bob Evans Restaurants. Order forms came home this week, please RSVP by Thursday, January
28th. We hope to see you there! All children need to be accompanied by an adult.
JUMP ROPE FOR HEART/HOOPS FOR HEART:
Thank you to all of those families who have turned in their permission slips. If you haven’t already done so please
send them in soon! The permission slip must be turned in to participate in the event. Collection envelopes are not
due until February 2010.
OPEN HOUSE AND KINDERGARTEN ROUND-UP:
Please help us spread the word about our wonderful school by talking to your friends and neighbors about our
annual Open House and Kindergarten Round-up that will be taking place at the beginning of March. Word of
mouth is an excellent opportunity to let people know who we are!

BUSINESS OF THE MONTH:
The Business of the Month for January is Tech-Tutor. Tech-Tutor offers trustworthy, dependable computer

ST. MARY’S HIGH SCHOOL NEWS:
The Placement Test Make-up Day for St. Mary’s High School will be Sat., Jan. 23 at 8:00 am. Please contact Lori Jonas at

St. Mary’s High School will host an 8th Grade/Freshman Mixer, Friday, Jan. 22, 2010 from 7:00 – 10:00 pm. Admission is
$5.00. Permission slips are required.
St. Mary’s High School will host a Softball Camp, Jan. 23 & 30, 2010 for girls in grades 4 thru 8. The clinics will focus on
fundamental skills of fielding, catching and hitting as well as windmill pitching and a catchers clinic. Please contact the school

2nd GRADE BAKE SALE:
On Friday, Jan. 22, Mrs. Redding 2nd grade class is hosting a Bake Sale at all lunch shift. Proceeds go to the Red Cross.
ST. MARK’S COFFEE DONUTS ---THIS WEEKEND:
This weekend we will be having families at St. Mark’s to promote our school. If you attend this parish please have your
students wear their uniforms to Mass and stop by for coffee and donuts and visit with some folks. Thank you in advance to
those families who have agreed to help out in this endeavor.
KC KIDS CONGRESS:

CUB SCOUT PACK 178 SPAGHETTI DINNER:
Mark your calendars for January 30th, 2010, Nativity of Mary Parish Hall. The Cub Scouts will be serving an authentic
spaghetti and meatball dinner that includes salad, delicious Italian bread, desert and a drink from 4:00 to 7:00 pm. The cost
is only $8.00 for adults and $4.00 for children under 12. There will be raffle prizes as well! For advance tickets, check with
