                         UNIVERSITY OF ONTARIO INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY



These scholarships are the University of Ontario Institute of Technology’s most prestigious entrance awards. The
recipients of these awards will be academically outstanding and have made notable contributions to extracurricular
or community activities. The Awards Committee will make selections based on these qualifications.




Value
Chancellor’s Scholarship: One valued at $28,000 awarded annually.
President’s Scholarship: Two valued at $24,000 each awarded annually.
Founder’s Scholarship: Two valued at $20,000 each awarded annually.

Criteria
•   A minimum 85% in best six 4U or 4M courses;
•   Personal leadership activities: e.g. excellence in extracurricular activities beyond academic requirements
    and/or significant contributions to community or family;
•   Undergraduates studying towards their first university degree;
•   Canadian citizen or landed immigrant;
•   Minimum 3.7 GPA required for renewal; and
•   Students may not hold more than one UOIT entrance scholarship or award simultaneously.

Application Process
1. Complete all sections of this application. All information must be keyboarded or typed on additional
    paper, except where noted. Handwritten applications will be discarded.

2. Submit a maximum of two letters of reference with your application. Ensure that the letters are in
    sealed envelopes that are stamped or signed across the seal by the referee.

3. Applications must be received no later than February 26, 2010. Late applications and incomplete applica-
    tions will not be reviewed, nor will applicants be notified. Submit completed applications to the UOIT
    Registrar's office, 2000 Simcoe Street North, Oshawa, ON L1H 7K4.

4. Successful applicants will be notified in May.

Important: To be considered for this award, students must have an official application to the university
on file. Please apply through the Ontario Universities' Application Centre – www.ouac.on.ca – by
January 13, 2010.
