       AUD $1.94 MILLION CONVERTIBLE NOTE PLACEMENT- UPDATE

Admiralty Resources NL (ASX:ADY) announced on 4 August 2008 that it had placed
1.94 million converting notes at a share conversion price 17.5 cents to new and
existing Australian institutional and sophisticated investors.

The Company informs that the right to convert these notes into ordinary shares is
subject to the Company obtaining the approval of the shareholders of the Company.
