most important division of Anglo American in Chile, with an
annual production of approx. 250.000 MT of fine copper.

Low grade ore are processed through the well known LIX/SX/
EW route. Higher grade ore are processed at the Crushing/
Milling Plant located within Los Bronces area. Product com-

Chile has a worldwide reputation for its excellent wines.
The quality of Chilean wine owes much to the efforts of our
winegrowers, who took great pains in caring for those French
wines that made our soils their natural environment. Tour will
visit one of the most renowned vineyards located in Pirque,
Concha y Toro, south-east from Santiago, strolling through its
wine cellars, with time to taste one of the top quality wines
produced in this vineyard. Over a century ago Pirque use to
be a farm owned by one of the first families that started to
produce wines in Chile. The art of wine making that gave birth
to the Chilean tradition was brought to Chile from Europe and
developed by our very own Aristocracy, and has made Chile
famous around the world for its high quality wines.
