FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE The Nevada Neurosciences Institute at Sunrise Awarded For Excellence in Stroke Rehabilitation Internationally renowned surveyors make NNI one of only 71 accredited entities in the world LAS VEGAS — The Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) recently awarded the Nevada Neurosciences Institute at Sunrise (NNI) for excellence in cultivating the rehabilitation of stroke patients for a period of three years. Sunrise Hospital has the only CARF accredited Rehabilitation Unit in Southern Nevada and is one of only 71 in the world to carry the honor. The accreditation outcome represents the highest level of satisfaction that can be awarded to an organization and illustrates Sunrise Hospital’s substantial conformance to the high standards established by CARF. To receive the Three-Year Accreditation outcome, Sunrise Hospital and NNI has put itself through a rigorous peer review process and has demonstrated to a team of surveyors during an on-site visit that its programs and services are of the highest quality. “CARF surveyors are among the industry’s most knowledgeable and respected experts in the field of rehabilitation and human services, so receiving this award from them is a true honor,” states Dr. Scott Selco, medical director of stroke care. “Our team of nurses, researchers, neurologists and neurosurgeons work round-the-clock to ensure the highest level of care for our patients and we are delighted that CARF has recognized our efforts. This accreditation means that our patients are receiving quality of care that is superior to most other hospitals in the nation.” About The Nevada Neurosciences Institute (NNI): The Nevada Neurosciences Institute at Sunrise (NNI) is Nevada’s first full-service neurosciences center, providing access to world-class patient care and pioneering medical research for brain and spine diseases, disorders and injuries.
