INTRODUCTION
FPTT developed this programme to meet the needs of professionals who
aspire to, or hold, management posts in technical and non-technical
organizations. The programme was aimed at extending knowledge and
competency in the following key aspects of effective management:
• Qualities, characteristics and skills of effective managers and leaders.
• Competence associated with the effective management of policies,
processes, people and resources in organizations.
• Appropriate policies for technology, innovation and operation
management in organizations
MBA is taught through variety of methods. Whilst the regular traditional
tandem of lectures and seminars to enhance the teaching and learning
process, interactive teaching methods are also incorporated bringing in
case studies, group discussion, projects and role-playing exercises. The
programme also provides opportunities for students to meet influential and
respected figures in the world of business through lecturers, seminars and
prestigious guest speakers.

AREAS OF SPECIALIZATION:
1. TECHNOLOGY AND INNOVATION
MANAGEMENT
Imparting knowledge with relevant approaches
to develop students to become successful
managers and to enhance managers’
competencies in technology innovation and
R & D management.
2. ADVANCED OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT
Imparting knowledge with relevant approaches
to develop students to become successful
managers and to enable managers to become
more competent in managing services and
manufacturing organizations.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:
Local Applicants
Honors Degree from a university recognized by the
Senate of UTeM with CGPA of at least 2.50 and at least
1 year working experience or a CGPA of at least 3.00 for
fresh graduate or equivalent.
International Applicants
Honors Degree from a university recognized by the
Senate of UTeM with CGPA of at least 2.75 or
equivalent. Additionally, applicants need to obtain a
TOEFL qualification of at least 550 score or IELTS
qualification with band 6.0 (for applicant from
countries where English is not a medium of instruction)
or attend an English class organized by UTeM.
Or:
A professional qualification recognized as being
equivalent to an Honors Degree by the Senate of UTeM.
PROGRAMME STRUCTURE
This MBA program is implemented in a Trimester
System (3 Trimester per Year).
Every academic year is divided into March, July &
November Trimester
Each trimester consists of 14 weeks of studies, 1
week of final examination and 2 weeks break
between trimesters.
This is a full‐time program but classes are held in
the evenings.
The duration of study is set at a minimum of 4
trimesters to a maximum of 12 trimesters.
GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS
Total credit hour requirement to graduate is set at
a minimum of 48 credit hours for each area of
specializations:
Core Courses 30 credit hours
Elective Courses 12 credit hours
(Specialization)
Project Paper 6 credit hours
Total 48 credit hours
**Minimum CGPA to graduate is 3.00**

PROJECT PAPER
• Project Paper is compulsory to fulfill the programme
requirement.
• Students are required to take Research Methodology
course before they proceed with their Project Paper.
• Students are required to appoint a supervisor from
among the academic staffs FPTT to supervise their
Project Paper by filling-in the project paper form at the
beginning of 5th trimester of study.
• Students are required to submit project proposal on
Friday the 15th week of the trimester when they are
taking Research Methodology.

INTERNATIONAL STUDENT:
FOR THE 6 TRIMESTERS PERIOD OF STUDY = RM21,094.00
