September Letter from our President, Mitch Wortzman
Welcome to the 2005/2006 season of FEI – our 71 year as a chapter. I hope you all had a
great summer!

I'm honored to serve as your Chapter President this year and I am thankful to have the
support of my fellow Board Members who have been working hard this summer to create
another exceptional year of programs. I'm also grateful for our strategic partner support. In
addition to our renewing strategic partners from 2004 / 2005, please welcome our newest
partner – the prestigious law firm of Cooley Godward, LLP.

FEI is already the best organization for senior financial executive networking and career development in the Bay
Area and our goal for the upcoming year is to further build on our local awareness and excitement by focusing on
increased member and guest attendance at our events. I've already invited several prominent guests to our
September kick-off meeting and I hope that you will all join me in spreading the word.

Guests who qualify for FEI membership are entitled to attend one free event. Eligibility criteria are generally the
CFO, VP Finance, Controller, Treasurer, Chief Accounting Officer or Audit Committee Members of companies with
$5 million in net worth, $15 million in capital / long-term debt or $20 million operating expenses. The next tier of
assistant financial executives requires four times the dollar figures above.

Please take advantage of this great networking opportunity by inviting your qualifying friends, associates, co-
workers, competitors and suppliers as FEI guests. They will surely appreciate the favor! I look forward to seeing
you at the Carnelian Room in San Francisco on September 15 .
