					PLASMA VS. LCD TV’s
• Which is better???????????????
       Definition: L.C.D. TV.

Liquid Crystal Display- A display technology that
uses rod-shaped molecules (liquid crystals) that
flow like liquid and bend light. Unenergized, the
crystals direct light through two polarizing filters,
allowing color to show. When energized, they
redirect the light to be absorbed in polarizers,
causing the dark appearance of crossed
polarizers to show. The more the molecules are
twisted, the better the contrast and viewing
angle.
   DEFINITION: PLASMA TV.
• Plasma TV - create a picture from a gas
  (plasma) filled with xenon and neon atoms and
  millions of electrically charged atoms and
  electrons collide when you turn the power on.
  The collision releases increases in the energy
  level in the plasma and the neon and xenon
  release light (similar to the way neon lights
  work).
 ADVANTAGES OF L.C.D. TV’S
• LCD technology is not prone to screen
  "burn-in" or "ghosting", static images will
  begin to "burn-in," or permanently etch the
  color being displayed on PLASMAS.
• LCD monitors display static images from
  computer with full color detail, have no
  flicker, and no screen burn-in.
• LCD TV’s conform better to gaming consuls.
• The longevity of the L.C.D. is far superior to
  that of the PLASMA.
ADVANTAGES OF PLASMA T.V.’S
• plasma technology has the better picture
  quality in normal to low room lighting
  conditions, and are better in most picture
  quality categories.
• Plasma technology will almost without
  exception triumph during night time
  viewing.
• PLASMA offers larger screen dimensions

                 COST
• In the case of 1080p and 720p resolutions,
  the L.C.D. TV. Will cost you an average of
  $200-$500 more than the same sized
  PLASMA.
• The PLASMA TV. has an energy
  consumption that is significantly higher
  than that of the L.C.D.
            CONCLUSION
• Both the PLASMA and the L.C.D.’s picture
  quality are a far superior to the old
  standard, “tube” style televisions.
• There is no clear winner when trying to
  decide which is the right one for you, They
  both have their own strengths and their
  own weaknesses. The better model will
  depend on the consumer’s budget, and
  how he/she plans on using the television.
