(2) Adjustment to "nominal" dollars is required to prepare the crude oil and natural gas price forecast. Callan Associates Inc.'s inflation rate of 2.75% was used for FY 2008 and beyond. (3) Adjustment to "real 2006" dollars is useful to compare prices across time excluding inflation. The data series used is the Consumer Price Index for all Urban Consumers (CPI-U) which can be found at: www.gls.gov/cpi/home.htm.
