amazing opportunity to be able to show your talent to these judges. This is the true reason you

What to wear?
We at The Best Talent Awards are more concerned about your talent than your attire; however,
we get many questions regarding what to wear. Here are some suggestions:

For the seminars and rehearsals, clothing should be casual and comfortable.

For the Preliminary Competition and Finals what you wear depends on what kind of effect you
want to make with your clothing. For example we had one finalist do a monologue about her
friend wearing the exact same denim jacket that she had, so her choice of clothing, of course,
included wearing one. Costumes are not recommended except for dancers.

HOSTS AND HOSTESSES- we recommend that you dress appropriately for the type of show
that you choose to host.

MODELS- No bathing suits except in the fitness category. Children and Pre-teen should be
fresh-faced and natural. Teens and older girls should be fresh-faced and natural and should
wear clothing that compliments and shows their figure. Girls should wear a simple dress or skirt.
Male models should wear nice slacks and a form-fitting top (not baggy).

COMMERCIAL- you have a choice. You can wear normal clothing or you can dress up to suit
your part. Props are fine as long as you can carry them.

FITNESS - The fitness category is to show your fitness level and shape. Fitness attire should
not be too revealing. If it is inappropriate we will ask you to change. No thongs allowed.

Attire for all categories - age appropriate clothing that compliments you. You will be asked
to change or not be allowed to perform if your attire is inappropriate or too risqué. The Award
Gala on Sunday will be a more formal event. Black tie is not necessary, nor is evening gowns,
but we do want you to dress up. In other words just look nice. Don’t buy an evening gown for the
event unless it is part of your act. The guidelines we have given above are suggestions to make it
easier for the judges to give you the score you deserve. The clothing choices are up to you. We
cannot recommend clothing for you beyond what is indicated here. You WILL NOT be judged on
your clothing but on your own special look or performance, so pick out something you like that fits
into our guidelines and be assured that your score will reflect your talent.

This year she is asking all the contestants in The Best Talent Awards to help with the toy drive.
There will be a large box in the Information Room available if you wish to contribute a toy. The
toy must be new and unwrapped. A small gift certificate to a store that carries toys (Target, Toys
R Us) would also be appreciated.

Anything donated, no matter how large or small will be appreciated by the children of the shelter
