Item Overview:
The Task Template page is used to select the type of task information Taskgroup members are to provide
for time reporting. Each Task Template should represent a distinct set of task-related elements. A Task
Template must be assigned to each Taskgroup. The same Task Template can be assigned to more than
one Taskgroup or separate Task Templates can be created for each Taskgroup. The Task Template
assigned to the Taskgroup controls which Task Profiles can be associated with the Taskgroup.

Record Information:

 TL_TSKPRF_TMPLT            Task Profile Template        This record defines the fields that make up an
                                                         accounting transaction for Time and Labor‟s
                                                         Daily Task Records and the Task Profiles.

Approach:
 Initially the number of templates will be very minimal as there have been no Task fields identified by
agencies as being needed as part of Phase 1. As agencies identify requirements for new Task Templates
the Core-CT Team will be able to create new Templates and assign them to Taskgroups with minimal
impact provided Taskgroups are defined at the level needed upon Configuration of the initial rollout.

Information Source:
Agency SMEs will provide most of the input as to what data fields need to be set up on the Task
Template in order to properly capture the cost information for their agency.

 TASK_PRFL_TMPLT_I           Task Template ID            This field displays the name of the template. It is

                                                         value will be set to a meaningful value that is
                                                         easy to identify when linked to a taskgroup.
  DESCR                      Description                 This allows for a 30 character free flow
                                                         description of the template. It is a required field.
  DESCRSHORT                 Short Description           This allows for a 10 character free flow
                                                         description of the template. It defaults to
                                                         TL_TSK_TMPLT. This value should be set to a
                                                         meaningful value.
  COMMIT_ACCTG_FLG           Commitment Accounting       If Commitment accounting functionality is to be
                                                         used then this box should be checked. Once
                                                         selected, Account Code becomes a required field,
                                                         and the Product and Project ID fields become
                                                         unavailable. This field defaults to “N”. It will be
                                                         set to “Y”.

                                                        using PS North America this equates to a
                                                        business unit that has a unique federal employer
                                                        identification number(EIN) for payroll reporting
                                                        purposes. The default is “N”.
  OPT1                      Field 1 Use Option          This will be used if the Company field is being
                                                        used to report labor distribution information
                                                        against. The options are “Not Used”, “Optional”,
                                                        and “Required”. The default is “Not Used”.
                                                        Accept the default.
  BUS_UNIT_FLAG             PC Business Unit            The default is “N ”. Accept the default.
  OPT2                      Field 2 Use Option          This will be used if the Business Unit field is
                                                        being used to report labor distribution
                                                        information against. The options are “Not Used”,
                                                        “Optional”, and “Required”. The default is “Not
                                                        Used”. Accept the default.
  DEPTID_FLAG               Department ID               The default is “N”. Not available when using
                                                        Commitment Accounting. Accept the default.
  OPT3                      Field 3 Use Option          This will be used if the Department ID field is
                                                        being used to report labor distribution
                                                        information against. The options are “Not Used”,
                                                        “Optional”, and “Required”. The default is “Not
                                                        Used”. Accept the default.
  PRODUCT_FLAG              Product                     The default is “N”. Not available when the
                                                        Commitment Accounting flag is set. Accept the
                                                        default.
  OPT4                      Field 4 Use Option          This will be used if the Product field is being
                                                        used to report labor distribution information
                                                        against. The options are “Not Used”, “Optional”,
                                                        and “Required”. The default is “Not Used”.
                                                        Accept the default.
  PROJECT_FLAG              Project ID                  The default is “N”. Not available when the
                                                        Commitment Accounting flag is set. Accept the
                                                        default.
  OPT5                      Field 5 Use Option          This will be used if the Project field is being used
                                                        to report labor distribution information against.
                                                        The options are “Not Used”, “Optional”, and
                                                        “Required”. The default is “Not Used”. Accept
                                                        the default.
  TASK_FLAG                 Task                        The default is “N”. Accept the default as the
                                                        Task field will not be used initially.

                                                        Customer field will not be used initially.
  OPT7                      Field 7 Use Option          This will be used if the Customer field is being

                                                        against. The options are “Not Used”, “Optional”,
                                                        and “Required”. The default is “Not Used”.
                                                        Accept the default.
  ACCTCD_FLAG               Account Code                The default is “N”. This value should be set to
                                                        „Y‟ for every task template.
  OPT8                      Field 8 Use Option          This will be used if the Account Code field is
                                                        being used to report labor distribution
                                                        information against. The options are “Not Used”,
                                                        “Optional”, and “Required”. The default is “Not
                                                        Used”. This is a required field if the
                                                        Commitment Accounting flag is set. This value
                                                        should be set to „O‟ for Optional.
  RESOURCE_TYPE_FL          Resource Type               The default is “N”. Accept the default.

Dependencies and Timing:
 Task Templates must be completed before Task Profiles and Task Groups
 There are no prompt tables associated with this table

Testing Considerations:
Templates should be created using the following scenarios:
 A Template on which the Commitment Accounting flag is set
 A “Non-Task” Template for those employees whose time and labor distribution data is not part of the
   commitment Accounting process. Some agencies do capture attendance information for non-
   employees, however it has yet to be determined if this functionality is of use to them.

Assumptions:
 Commitment Accounting functionality will be used.
 EPM functionality will be used
 PS Projects will be implemented in Phase II
 The Account Code field will always be optional for every task template.
