a motor vehicle or trackless trolley shall, except when approach-
ing from the opposite direction on a divided highway, bring his
vehicle or trackless trolley to a full stop before reaching said
school bus and shall not thereafter proceed until the warning
signals are deactivated, unless directed to the contrary by a
police officer duly authorized to control the movement of t r a f f i c .

  SECTION 6. Section thirteen of chapter one hundred              sixty-
three of the General Laws is hereby repealed.

Chap. 78.        AN ACT ALLOWING THE USE OF SCHOOL BUSES
                 FOR CERTAIN PUBLIC EVENTS.

Be it enacted, e t c . , as follows:

     The f i r s t paragraph of section 1 of chapter 159A of the Gen-
eral Laws, is hereby amended by inserting after the word "author-
i t y " , in line 15, as appearing in section 11 of chapter 297 of the
acts of 1949, the words:- ; and provided, f u r t h e r , that the
city council of a city and the selectmen of a town, with the
advice and consent of the school committee, may issue a license
for the use within the municipality of school buses for public
events promoting the public good for any period not to exceed
seventy-two hours.

Chap. 79.        AN ACT FURTHER EXTENDING THE BOUND-
                 ARIES OF THE BELCHERTOWN WATER DISTRICT
                 IN THE TOWN OF BELCHERTOWN.

Be it enacted, e t c . , as follows:

  The boundaries of the Belchertown Water d i s t r i c t , established
by section one of chapter five hundred and five of the acts of
nineteen hundred and twenty-two and extended by chapter four
hundred and seventeen of the acts of nineteen hundred and
seventy, are hereby extended to also include the t e r r i t o r y
bounded as follows:-
  Beginning on the easterly location .line of the Central Vermont
Railway, I n c . , at a point 200 feet northerly from the intersection
of said location line and the northerly location line of Bay Road,
said point being the northwest corner of the Belchertown Water
District, as established by the Legislative Acts of 1970;

   Thence, running southerly along the easterly location line of
the said Central Vermont Railway, Inc. to its intersection with
the northwesterly location line of Hamilton Street;
   Thence, running southwesterly along said northwesterly loca-
tion of Hamilton Street to the northeast corner of land of Walter
J . Tolpa & Julia Tolpa, as described in a deed recorded in the
Hampshire County Registry of Deeds in Book 1277, Page 440;
   Thence, running westerly along the northerly line of land of
said Tolpa to land of Leonard Chartier & Shirley F. Chartier;
   Thence, running northerly in part along the easterly line of
land of said Chartier, as described in deed recorded in said
Registry in Book 1551, Page 263, and in part along the easterly
line of land of James J . Gambaro & Marianne Gambaro, as de-
scribed in a deed in said Registry in Book 2029, Page 238, to a
point on the southerly location line of Bay Road;
   Thence, running westerly on the southerly location of Bay
Road to a point at the southerly extension of the westerly loca-
tion line of Poole Road;
   Thence, running northerly across Bay Road and along the
westerly location line of Poole Road to a point at the westerly
extension of the northerly line of land of Richard E. C l a r i t y ;
   Thence, running northeasterly across Poole Road and along the
northerly line of lands of Richard E. Clarity, Samuel A. Ander-
son et ux, Dennis M. Tassone et ux, and Carol A. Baker, as
shown on two plans recorded in the aforesaid Registry in Plan
Book 49, Page 52, and in Plan Book 80, Page 9 1 , to the n o r t h -
west corner of land of Raymond Cusson;
   Thence, running easterly along the northerly line of land of
said Cusson to a corner of land of said Cusson;
   Thence, continuing easterly across land of said Cusson and
across land of the Central Vermont Railway, Inc. to its easterly
 location line;
   Thence, running southerly along the easterly location line of
said Central Vermont Railway, Inc. to the point of beginning.
   The inhabitants of the town of Belchertown residing within the
above described t e r r i t o r y , are hereby made members of said
 Belchertown Water d i s t r i c t .

                TO PAY A CERTAIN UNPAID BILL TO DAVID

                TO COMPLY WITH THE LAW RELATIVE TO COM-
                PETITIVE BIDDING.
