combination of mainly
physical measures that
reduce the negative effects
of motor vehicle traffic in
residential neighbourhoods
► First used in Europe
(Netherlands)
► Canadian Guide published
in December 1998

► Firstproject initiated for the Burnsview
neighbourhood in 1998
► Devices implemented in Burnsview in 2000
► Second project started in Sunbury
neighbourhood in 2000
