									NOTICE OF CHANGES
TO TRAFFIC
CONDITIONS
EASTERN BYPASS,
PORT ADELAIDE
As part of overall works for Stages 2 and
3 of the Port River Expressway project, the
Eastern Bypass (the new road from Bedford
Street to Francis Street, Port Adelaide) was
partially opened to traffic on Monday 17
July 2006.
The section of the Eastern Bypass between
St Vincent Street East and Bedford Street
was opened to south bound traffic under
speed restrictions of 25 kph.
This partial opening allows motorists to
turn right from St Vincent Street East
onto the Eastern Bypass. Motorists on the
Eastern Bypass will encounter a Give Way
sign at Bedford Street.
Traffic signals have been installed at the
intersection of the Eastern Bypass and
St Vincent Street East but are not yet in
operation.
Motorists are advised that the north bound
lane of the Eastern Bypass between St
Vincent Street East and Bedford Street is
not open to traffic.
Bedford Street will be open to two-way
traffic under local speed conditions.
