                           Perhaps you sent a lovely card, or sat quietly in a chair.
                           Perhaps you sent a funeral spray, if so we saw it there.
                       Perhaps you spoke the kindest words that any friend could say.
                        Perhaps you were not there at all, just thought of us that day.
                                                                                                                                Genevieve Ollie-Hebert

      Mother, father God, Infinite Source from which all good things come. I know that I am an individual expression of
   that great spirit, Omnipotent, Omniscient, Omnipresent, that lives and moves and has its being in me and expresses
 itself in me through me, as me and for me. I know that right here, right now, that powerful spirit is reinforcing the bitter
sweet honey of life as we move forward in the knowledge that there is no sickness and no death in this perfect universe
    in which we live. Divine right action is taking place as I speak; the spirit guides us through the illusion of pain as we
   learn to accept our responsibility to move on knowing that this empty CHAMBER in our hearts is merely a reminder
                                                                                                                                    St. Therese Catholic Church

  lives to create the beautiful memories we now cherish in our hearts. We give thanks for this awareness, the comfort of
     family and friends and much more. Knowing that it is God’s good pleasure to give me the universe, I let go and let
           God, as I release these words into the universe. They shall return to me pressed down and running over. Saturday, March 24, 2006

      Genevieve “Doll” Ollie-Hebert In Loving Memory of our Mother
              Through the Years
                                                                Genevieve “Doll” Ollie-Hebert
                                      The oak sleeps in the acorn, the bird in the egg and waking angels stir in the highest vision of the soul. Dreams
                                      are seedlings of reality. In the fall of 1910, a seedling dream was born in the guise of a baby girl named Genevieve
                                      Ollie. She was so beautiful, she was nicknamed Doll. Doll was born in Abbeville, Louisiana on October 25, 1910,
                                      to John and Annette Bernard-Ollie. Having lived in Arcadiana with her mother and two brothers, Genevieve spent
                                      her early years caring for her young brother Tib, while her mother went to work as a cook for a wealthy banker
                                      in Abbeville along with working in the fields of Louisiana cutting cane and picking cotton.
                                      Many Louisiana winters, faded into summers and passed through the spring of young Genevieve’s life until she
                                      met and married Joseph G. Hebert, Sr. (Cojo). To that union was born Jacob who died as a baby, Joseph (BB) and
                                      Barbara (Bobbie Joe). Later, Genevieve met and married Fisher Robinson. During World War II, they moved to
                                      Orange, Texas where she gave birth to four children, John, Annette, Camille and Isaac Kenneth.

                                      After living in Orange for twenty years and raising her six children, Genevieve moved to Beaumont, Texas, where
                                      she lived for thirty-five years working for the welfare of senior citizens and doing volunteer work for cancer patients,
                                      until she experienced failing health. In 1995 her son Joe (BB) moved her from Beaumont to her native Abbeville
                                      where she lived for two years prior to moving to Los Angeles, her home for the balance of her days.
                                      In her youth, Doll loved to go to parties, weddings and dances. She loved to dance and was a skillful dancer; a
                                      legend and a thing beauty as she danced the night away doing the old two-step and dancing to the Zydeco.
                                      She now teaches the old creole customs, music and dance to the children in the heaven school who will take
                                      her place.
                                      Genevieve leaves to celebrate her life and carry on her legacy of advocacy for seniors, three daughters, Barbara Joe

      Mother, Mother                                                  Through the Years

      Mother, Mother, our Dear, Sweet Mother,
      In this whole world there is no other;
      Whose prayers have kept us free from harm;
      Whose love has kept us safe and warm;
      Whose faith has helped us reach our potential;
      Whose strength to us was truly essential…
      To all we are, or shall ever be,
      And in giving our best, it reflects of thee…
      Mother, Dear Mother, we love you today. Tomorrow too,
      And yes always.
