OFF The Router is powered down. LAN LINK ON An Ethernet link is established. 1x-4x OFF The Ethernet link is not established BLINK Data transmitting or receiving over LAN. USB ON Normal operating status. OFF The USB link is Not Connected BLINK Data transmitting or receiving over USB. ADSL ON ADSL Link is established. OFF ADSL link is terminated. BLINK Link is training or data transmitting or receiving over ADSL. Internet GREEN The PPP link is established. Internet Access Windows 2000 / XP Step 1 - Installing Line Filters Next, make sure your PC will use the DSL connection when connecting to the internet. Follow the procedure below: Install DSL filters on the following devices 1. Click START then CONTROL PANEL. • Telephones (regular and cordless) 2. Double-click the INTERNET OPTIONS icon. • Answering machine 3. Click the CONNECTIONS tab. • Fax Machines 4. Click SETUP. • Computers with dial-up modems 5. Click NEXT. • Anything else plugged into the dsl phone outlet 6. Select CONNECT TO THE INTERNET. 7. Click NEXT. 8. Select SETUP MY CONNECTION MANUALLY. 9. Click NEXT. Step 2 - Connecting the Modem 10. Select CONNECT USING BROADBAND CONNECTION THAT IS ALWAYS ON. 11. Click NEXT. 12. Click FINISH. USB LAN Line 1. Verify that TCP/IP is set to OBTAIN AN IP ADDRESS AUTOMATICALLY and OBTAIN DNS SERVER ADDRESS AUTOMATICALLY. 5. Click OK and click OK again. 6. Skip the “Register your computer for internet access via DHCP” section.
