                     COMMON MISCONCEPTIONS ABOUT MOVING

               I have a binding estimate. (I WILL NOT pay any more than the estimated charges)
               This is not Always TRUE. You could be charged more than the estimated charges.

               I have a not to exceed estimate. (I will only be charged the estimated charges or less)
               This is not Always TRUE. You could be charged more than the estimated charges.

               My estimated household weight is 9500 pounds. (I will only pay for 9500 pounds)
               This is not TRUE. You could pay more or possible less than the estimated charges.

               My household belonging are Insured as part of the standard moving contract. (I
               will be paid in full for any damages) This is not TRUE. (A Mover has very limited
               liability)

               My household will be loaded when I request. (I will have a guaranteed load date)
               This is not necessarily TRUE.

               My household will be delivered on the day I request. (I will have a guaranteed
               delivery date) This is not necessarily TRUE.

               My household will be loaded and unloaded by Company Employees.
               This again is not Necessarily TRUE.

                    ADDITIONAL CHARGES YOU MAY NOT EXPECT
               The Driver arrives at you home and tells you he needs a smaller truck to load your
               household. He cannot get the Tractor Trailer in the Driveway, down your street, or
               any number of reasons he needs an additional truck. Depending on the size of your
               household this could cost an additional $ 250 to $ 1,500 Dollars or MORE.

               The same additional charges could be incurred at the delivery Address. Or you
               could pay these charges on both ends.
Your closing takes longer than expected. The driver has to wait for you before he
can unload your household. The driver will charge wait time.

Your destination closing date is rescheduled but your household is already on the
truck. This could cost you expensive storage and additional delivery charges.

On move day the driver tells you your household will not fit on his truck. The
estimator under estimated. You may have to pay for an additional truck.

The driver tells you I can’t move these items unless they are properly packed. You
will pay additional packing charges or the driver may not move these items.

The driver tells you he cannot possible load your household in one day. You must be
out of your house for a next day closing. The driver then tells you he can load in one
day but he needs additional labor. Guess who pays for the additional labor?

The Van Line Truck cannot pick up your household on the day you requested. But
the Local Agent says he will load the household on the day you need and hold it for
the Van Line Truck. This is called a local pick up charge. Another Additional
Charge a very costly one.
