Financial Donation
National Foundation for Transplants receives no government funding – our only means of fulfilling our mission comes from the generosity of our donors. You may make a gift to NFT on our website: www.transplants.org, by mailing a check to the address on the back panel of this brochure, or by calling 800-489-3863. Memorial and honorarium gifts are always welcome and acknowledgments are sent to the person of the donor’s choice. NFT accepts Visa, Master Card and American Express as well as personal and business checks, money orders, cashier checks and cash donations. All donations to NFT are tax deductible. For more than 20 years, patients needing transplants, as well as transplant recipients, have turned to National Foundation for Transplants when insurance does not meet their medical needs. We’ve helped thousands with hospital and doctor bills, medicine and other prescriptions, and essential treatment they otherwise could not afford.

In talking frequently with patients over the phone, staff provide a listening ear in times of stress.
Efficient, timely response
When patients request assistance, NFT provides quick turn-around of approved payments. Recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, NFT assures that donations to NFT are used appropriately, to pay for transplant-related expenses not covered by a patient’s private insurance or public-supported health coverage. All donations made to NFT are tax-deductible.
NFT pays out more than $2 million annually in support of transplant patients nationwide.
NFT Helps Through . . .
Financial Assistance
NFT helps offset the cost of transplant treatment, medications and other needs relating to a transplant, based on availability of resources and the patient’s needs. NFT’s assistance is made possible, in large part, by community fund-raising drives for NFT’s state/organ (or tissue) funds. NFT provides training, guidance and supplies to community volunteers.
Advocacy for the patient and their family
NFT has advocated on behalf of patients concerning insurance, billing and hospital deposit issues.
