                      1. Ubuntu 8.10(Kernel 2.6.27) Version
1. First of all, you need to install two applications below before you install Linux driver.
   1) Terminal(Location : Applications -> Accessories)
   2) Device manager(Location : Applications -> System tool)

2. Once the installation of the applications is done, insert CD (Linux Driver)

3. Go to “Places” and click “VW 110 Linux” icon.

4. Go to “USB Driver” and Copy “Linux” folder from the CD to the PC.

5. Follow the steps below;
   a. Open terminal program
   b. Go to the “Linux” folder.
   c. Run “MAKE”
   d. Run “LS”
   e. If there is “vwmfdiag.ko” file in the list as below, the driver installation is completed.
   f. Run “sudo ./load_vwmfdiag”
   g. Enter Admin Password




6. Insert the USB modem into the PC, press Eject button once you have a pop-up window or
   right click on the “vwmf” icon on the desktop and select Eject “vwmf”.

    **note: Every time the modem is inserted into the PC, vwmf must be ejected in order to use the
    modem.

7. You can double check from “Device Manager” if the installation is completed.

8. Go to “Device Manager” then check if the items in the box below are appeared.
9. Click “   ” on the top of the window.

10. Click “VPN Connections” and select “Configure VPN”

11. Go to “Mobile Broadband” tab and click “Auto Mobile Broadband(CDMA) connection”.

12. Enter “Edit” for configuration of connection parameters as below.
    a. Number: #777
    b. User Name: triatel@triatel.lv
    c. Password: triatel




13. Press “OK” after the configuration.

14. Go to “ ” and click “Auto Mobile Broadband (CDMA)” connection to be connected to the
    internet.
                        2. Fedora 9 (Kernel 2.6.25) Version

3. Go to “Places” and click “VW 110 Linux” icon.

5. Follow the steps below;
   h. Open terminal program
   i. Go to the “Linux” folder
   j. Run “MAKE”
   k. Run “LS”
   l. If there is “vwmfdiag.ko” file in the list as below, the driver installation is completed.
   m. Run “su”
   n. Enter root Password
   o. Run “ ./load_vwmfdiag”




6. Insert the USB modem into the PC, press Eject button once you have a pop-up window or

**note: Every time the modem is inserted into the PC, vwmf must be ejected in order to use the
modem.
