Nutritionists at the National Schools' Dietary Services Limited

							                               Caribbean Nutrition Day 2008


Nutritionists at the National Schools' Dietary Services Limited (NSDSL) in collaboration with the
UWI Nutrition & Dietetic Internship Programme, are planning a series of nutrition education
sessions for post SEA students and secondary schools, focusing on the theme – a total of 132
schools will be covered. Sessions would be conducted from June 1 – 13, 2008. They are also
preparing a newsletter for the schools, inclusive of appropriate activities for this target group. The
NSDSL is the State-owned Enterprise responsible for providing at present approximately 50,000
breakfast meals and approximately 100,000 lunch meals via the School Nutrition Programme to
students throughout the island of Trinidad.
