Xbox Quick Reference Guide General Usage (Xecuter2.6, Xecuter3, Xenium Ice) Xecuter2.6 Switch the Chip Enable switch to the ON position. Xecuter3 Tap the power button. X3 LED will be blue. Chip Enable Xenium Ice Load modded BIOS from the startup screen. Xecuter2.6 Switch the Chip Enable switch to the OFF position. Xecuter3 Press and hold the power button. X3 LED will be red. Chip Disable Xenium Ice Load unmodded TSOP flash from the startup screen. Backup Recommendations To make backups of your original discs to DVD-R, please check my website under the guides on using Qwix. To backup to hard disc, use a copy application such as PXHDD Loader or DVD2Xbox. Media Recommendations CD-RW – Verbatim or any other high quality RW media DVD-R – Ritek/Ridata sold at OEM Express, Cas-Tech, Deals Direct *NOTE* Some systems will not read CD-R media but they will read CD-RW. DVD-RW media is hit and miss thus it is recommended you use DVD-R. Xbox is not as picky with media thus you may be able to get away with using lesser quality media but it is not recommended. Troubleshooting & General Tips In the case your system stops responding to backups, try the following: -Follow the recommendations above and if your system is dirty try a CD/DVD lense cleaner If games running off the hard drive crash, try the following: -Recopy the disc with another copy utility and try using other media -If it runs off the DVD fine then you may need a patch to get it running on the hard drive If the system boots showing an error number, you may have a related problem to: Error Symptom Resolution 5 Hard drive is not locked. Lock the hard drive. 7 Hard drive timeout Hard drive issue. It is not found or not responding and may need to be replaced. 13, 14, 16 Dashboard error and/or limited dashboard options. Dashboard has been corrupted. You will need to rebuild the dashboard. Keep the area around your Xbox clean and off the carpet as they tend to suck in a lot of dust. Unsupported Issues There is a lot of homebrew software and I don’t have the answers to every problem. It’s recommended you check the respective software’s support forum. Warranty All systems come with an “I fry I buy” warranty. In the case that the system is damaged during the modding process I will replace the system. The system also comes with a warranty on the mod installation and covers the installation only1.
