QMotions, Inc. Announces Xbox® Compatibility for its Popular QMotions-Golf™ Full Motion Game Controller
Allows users to play top golf video games using their own clubs
(March 15, 2005) RIVERSIDE, Calif. – QMotions, the leader in developing active game technologies, announced today that QMotions-Golf™, the company’s flagship full motion game controller, is now available for the Microsoft Xbox® game console. Until today, QMotions-Golf has been available for use with PCs only.

With QMotions-Golf for Xbox, users can experience some of the world’s premier courses with their own clubs while playing EA Sports™ Tiger Woods PGA Tour® 2004 and 2005. QMotions uses patented electronic technology to measure swing speed, ball flight direction and distance, translating players’ actual golf swings into realistic onscreen action.
QMotions-Golf for Xbox replaces the traditional console game controller with a patented swing arm system with built-in electronic sensors. Players use their own clubs to drive, pitch and putt the golf ball, which is tethered to the swing arm system. Built-in sensors relay swing dynamics and QMotions’ sophisticated firmware algorithms interpret players’ golf swings with realistic results.
QMotions-Golf can serve as an indoor simulator and swing trainer for golf enthusiasts or as the ultimate virtual golf experience for gamers. Users can play 18 holes of golf with their full range of clubs. QMotions-Golf can also be enjoyed in small areas. Players with limited space can adjust the game set-up to use a short club for playing all shots, including driving.
QMotions-Golf for Xbox is a plug-and-play device and requires no driver software installation. It comes with a five foot cable that plugs into the standard Xbox controller port. The suggested retail price is $119.95. The full motion game controller will be available at major online resellers and retail stores beginning in April.
