Home Access Center Troubleshooting
This document gives details for navigation of the HAC website. The website is not controlled by Cutter
Morning Star Schools. Information is uploaded from APSCN database via an interface which is controlled by
APSCN personnel. Please contact your student’s building office personnel to report any malfunctions of the
website. The IT staff will then report the problem to the appropriate office.

Open your internet browser.
Enter the HAC URL: http://hac.k12.ar.us
Select a District:
Select Cutter-Morning Star from the drop down box.
Username:
Enter your email address.
Password:
Enter your password.

The initial screen will have two possible views.
If you have only one child in the system, the page will open with the Classwork tab selected. You will see the
assignments for your student’s courses.
If you have more than one child in the system, the page will open to the My Students page in order for you to
select the child’s information you would like to view. Upon selecting a student, the page will then open with
the Classwork Tab selected. You will see the assignments for your student’s courses.
Note the menu options in the upper right corner of the page. You have the option of returning to the My
Students page, if you have more than one student, the My Profile page or Exit.

CHANGING PASSWORD
Click on My Profile
Enter your Old Password.
Enter your New Password.
Re-enter your New Password.
Click Change
Window will open telling you
the change was successful.
Click Close to continue.

Navigating the Site
There are seven navigation tabs. By default the window will open in the Classwork tab.
Daily Summary– Gives you the student’s schedule for that day; attendance for the day if entered, and
classwork for the week if assignments have been entered for the week. This screen provides you an email link
to the teacher. The link to the course description and assignment is not active at this point in the
implementation process.
Schedule – Gives you the student’s schedule. This screen provides you an email link to the teacher. The link to

Attendance– Gives you a color coded attendance report. It contains the legend and calendar. You are able to
navigate between months, Hovering the mouse on a color coded day will give you the information regarding
the attendance code– period, attendance code, dismiss time, and arrive time.
Classwork – This screen provides you details about each class on the student’s schedule. The initial screen for
this category lists all classes on the student’s schedule. Remember, the link to the assignment is not active at
this point in the implementation process.

You can change the view to a single class by Clicking the down arrow in the View Classwork for box and
select the class you wish to view.
Once the class is selected Click Refresh View.
To view classwork for a different quarter, change for Report Card Run value to the quarter you wish to view
and Click Refresh View.
To view classwork by Date Due, change the Order by value to Date Due and Click Refresh View.
If the course does not have any classwork entered in the grade book the message “Classwork could not be
found for this class for the selected report card run.” will be displayed. This is caused either by the fact that
there are no grades given for that course or the teacher has not entered any assignments into the grade book.
AP classes and college classes also will not have grades entered.

The record will provide you the assignment due date, the category, score, total points possible (total points)
and percentage. In most cases teachers do not use weighted scores for calculating averages. Percentage of
points earned in each category is also shown. This is beneficial in determining where the student needs to
Interim Progress Report – This screen provides Interim Progress Report details. By default the most recent
IPR is displayed. To view previous reports click the down arrow in View the Interim Progress Report for
box and select the date. This screen provides an email link to the teacher. Remember, the link to the Course
Description is not active at this point in the implementation process.

Report Cards – This screen provides report card details. This screen provides you an email link to the
teacher. Remember, the link to the Course Description is not active at this point in the implementation process.
Registration – This screen provides registration details. This screen provides you an email link to the
counselor and homeroom teacher. The High School will not have a homeroom teacher.
