• Little painting remains from the early periods except for that on ceramics and tiles • Clearly recorded from 5th century Dunhuang.

Chinese Xuan Paper
• Xuan paper is specially famous for Chinese painting and calligraphy. It was recorded to be invented in T‟ang dynasty. • Named after the location of mass-production from Song dynasty. • Good absorption, strong, good for storage
