MURS (Multi-Use Radio Service)
These frequencies were called "dot" frequencies and use to require a license to transmit. On November 12,
2000 the FCC dropped the license requirement and opened them up just like the FRS frequencies and CB
radio. Max power on MURS is limited to TWO watts. You will be able to talk MUCH farther with MURS radios
than with FRS radios.

*The railroads of North America are assigned a group of 97 frequencies in the VHF band. These frequencies are in the range of 160.110
MHz to 161.565 MHz, in 15 KHz increments. The Association of American Railroads (AAR) manages the frequency assignment within this
frequency range. Many of America's railroads are equipping locomotives with radio transceivers capable of using all 97-railroad frequencies.
For simplicity, the frequencies are assigned channel numbers that are used to select the proper frequency on any AAR 97-channel radio.

Frequencies designated with (?) are assigned by the F.C.C. for this area and station, but have not been heard or confirmed as active.
Frequencies that are unknown of its designated use are indicated by "unknown". The frequencies were collected from various sources such
as the F.C.C. database, F.C.C. Repeater Directory, personal files, and donations from individuals. Some frequencies may be the
transmission (TX) or the receive (RX) side of a repeater pair and is designated as (T/R?). There are some repeater pairs given for different
radio stations in East Texas. They are also provided with the CTCSS tone. The amateur frequencies show the (+/-) .600 kHz split. This list
