Ron Prince, the head coach of the Kansas State University football team, announced that he would resign from his position on November 5, 2008. The poor defensive performance of the Wildcats is a likely reason for the coach’s departure. Previously, Prince had a contract with the university that would last through 2012, guaranteeing Prince 1.1 million over its duration or 1.2 million in the event of a buyout.
