We encourage you to bring Board members and staff. This conference will have a different focus from previous
years, so bring along both new and experienced people.

 6:30              Session 1
                   “Building relationships with donors” –Henry Contant, Executive Director - Society for
                   Christian Schools in British Columbia
 7:00              Session 2
                   “Getting board members on board” – Promoting involvement in planned giving, Kick
                   starting an Endowment Fund with your Board, and leveraging commitment. CSS
                   Partner with CSS Rep and WCS Board Member Harry Boessenkool
 7:30              Session 3
                   “Transitioning from Fund Raising to Planned Giving: Promoting the Planned Giving
                   Donor visit.” A practical approach, including role play and scripting the planned giving
                   conversation. Henry Eygenraam, Executive Director - Christian Stewardship Services

9:30 - 10:00    “Dreaming and Scheming” Developing Relationships to Build Success - Gathering ideas
                to promote Planned Giving.
                A Discussion moderated by Gerry Ebbers, CSS Board Chair and Capital Campaign Con-
                sultant working with Society for Christian Schools in British Columbia You are encour-
                aged to come along with ideas your organization has used, ideas you have seen working
                elsewhere, or just your imagination.
10:00 - 10:15   Refreshment Break
10:15 -11:00    “Baby steps up the Donor pyramid.” A Workshop: What’s your involvement with your
                donors? What do you do now to raise funds? What could you commit to doing this year,
                next year? Use the ideas we talk about this conference to make planned giving work for
                your organization, no matter its size and staff availability.
