Case Study On Digital V/f Drives for Induction Motors
The objective of the project is to design of AC drive for 3-phase induction motor based on a suitable DSP/Hybrid Controller for Machine Tool Spindle Applications. The input to the AC drive is 3 Phase 415VAC which is converted to DC and a Sinusoidal 3 Phase voltage output of frequency up to 300 Hz, 415 VAC 3 Phase is generated.
Description
The proposed scheme consists of two sections • Converter stage: Converters the Input 415 VAC 3 Phase to DC Voltage • Inverter stage: Converts 600VDC to 3ph, 415VAC • Frequency Range : 0~300 Hz • Resolution : 0.1Hz • Hardware Platform : DSP • Programming : Developed in ‘C’ and assembly • Control Algorithm : SPWM control technique and variable duty Cycle PWM control. • Communication : RS232/485 interface – Multi-drop mode • Real time fault Diagnostic system. • LCD display interface.
