Preschool Registration Do you have a three or four year old that is ready for preschool? The TOPS preschool program is currently accepting registrations for the 2009-2010 school year. TOPS preschool supports the development of the whole child and provides opportunities for learning through hands-on play based experiences and exploration. If you are interested in a tour and/or learning more about our program please contact the Parent Coordinator, Beth Grodzin, in the preschool office at 847.982.6318.

School Calendar 2009 – 2010 The Board of Education approved the calendar for the 2009 – 2010 school year at their February meeting. The school calendar is included in this week’s Friday Folder. Save the Date! The PTA is sponsoring another Parent Education Night on Tuesday, March 10, at Edison School (note change in location from calendar). A variety of great informational sessions are offered and parents will have the option to attend two workshops. Entertainment will be provided for the children. Pizza will be served at 6:00 p.m. and sessions will begin at 6:30 p.m. Parent – Staff Variety Show April Fool’s Day is a perfect day for a Variety Show! The Fine Arts Booster Club is sponsoring a Parent – Staff Variety Show on Wednesday, April 1 at Lincoln Junior High. Parents are encouraged to take a risk, put together a short act, and have fun! If you would like to perform at the Variety Show please contact Carla Leone Sands at cleone@rcn.com. If you aren’t up for performing bring your family out and enjoy laughing together! Tickets will be $3.00 in advance and $5.00 at the door. All proceeds will benefit the Fine Arts Boosters and the district fine arts programs. Jump Rope for Heart Thank you to all of the families that collected donations for the American Heart Association and to all of the students for jumping for healthy hearts! We also appreciate the parents who volunteered their time by assisting with the Jump Rope for Heart. Madison Hawks
