“Books Alive” Mystery List
The list is ordered 1,2,3 with individual titles preceding series titles. Level 1 indicates beginning chapter books averaging 60 to 70 pages with illustrations and larger print. Level 2 refers to books with over 100 pages and few illustrations. Level 3 titles generally have smaller type, are over 100 pages, have little or no illustrations and have more advanced subject matter. All suggested titles are appropriate for elementary students. Nate the Great by Sharmat, Marjorie Weinman Nate the Great solves mysteries in this amusing series for young readers. Einstein Anderson Science Dective by Simon, Seymour Sixth grade science sleuth Einstein Anderson answers mysteries and solves puzzles. Most titles contain several stories.
