Abstract I hope we will be able to spread our expertise in this field to other groups of the network by presenting a general overview of the in vitro procedures currently used in Lotus japonicus with both lectures and practical work. We’ll also give the possibility to perform your own transformation experiment. During the lectures some practical information about Lotus specific tools such as collection of transforming vectors, best promoters and antibiotics resistance cassettes, Agro strains etc will be provided. We also appointed lectures of invited speakers that in some cases will give general scientific talks concerning the field of plant transformation and plant genome structure. I’m going to send you all the information concerning accommodation and map of the city that, although esteemed as “difficult”, I’m sure you’ll enjoy a lot. We are looking forward to have you here. See you soon Maurizio
