Beginner Horse for whole family: We may want to show western at some point, horse would have to trail ride with kids ages 5,7,8,10 and be forgiving of our beginner mistakes. We are currently taking lessons and are trying hard to become horse people. We would give the horse a great home and lots of love. We presently have a 10 yr old quarter horse mare. Contact Trish 315-729-3574 or Dressage (or dressage-capable) horse: I'm showing only in the training/first level right now, but would like a horse that is capable of higher levels. I've ridden for many years (hunters for a while before switching exclusively to dressage 3 years ago), and train with Debbie Lockemeyer. I'm taller with long legs, so need a taller and/or full-bodied horse (although my hips don't tolerate wide horses very well). My horse that I retired last year was an off-the-track TB who was very high-strung, so I'm used to that kind of personality although I appreciate more sedate horses as well. Good ground manners are a must since I enjoy spending a lot of out-of-the-saddle time with my horses and don't like having to worry about a kicker or biter.
