Public Works, Trash & Recycling
The Public Works department will be collecting leaves in the following areas of Town during the first two (2)
weeks of December. Please be sure the leaves are free from rocks, sticks and other debris when raking them
to the curb. Leaves should not be raked into the roadway as this may cause blockage of the storm drains.
Alternate date for collection will be the week of January 12, 2009.
Trash collection for the Town of Camden is scheduled for pick-up once a week on Fridays. Please be sure to
have your trash out by 7:00 a.m. to ensure pick-up. Kindly be reminded that bulk trash items are scheduled to
be picked-up the last Friday of the month.
Collection of recyclables is scheduled for pick-up once a week on Tuesdays. Please be sure to have your
recycling containers out by 7:00 a.m. to ensure pick-up.
NOTE: Regular recycling and trash collection is sometimes affected by holidays. Below is a list of
the holidays recognized by Allied Waste; therefore every pick-up scheduled AFTER the holiday will be
pushed back one (1) day, i.e. Thanksgiving falls on a Thursday resulting in trash being picked-up on
Saturday whereas recycling will not be affected because it is scheduled for pick-up prior to the holiday.
