FRIDAY NIGHT - BREEDER'S SEMINAR Plan on attending the third annual Breeder's Seminar hosted by the YTC/GNY. There will be a presentation on Artificial Insemination by Mary Stankovics D.V.M. and Debbie Leach, Veterinary Technician. The moderator will be Nicholas Valenti, D.V.M. The topic focus will be: Semen Freezing - Why, When, Best use, Step by Step Guide through the process and Cost. There will be an open floor for Questions and Answers. Newcomers and established breeders are encouraged to attend. Pre-registration - $15.00. Registration at the door - $20.00. Bred by Exhibitor (BBE) Class Eligibility All dogs entered in the Bred-by Class must be indibidually registered with the AKC. The person handling the dog must be a breeder of record of the dog and owner of record of the dog. To Exhibit in this class, Family members must be a breeder and owner of record. Non-Regular Classes (Involving Single Dog Entries) Veterans Class: The Veterans class is open to Dogs and Bitches 7 Years of Age or Older. Winners of these classes will be eligible to compete for Best of Breed Competition. Neutered Dogs and Spayed Bitches are eligible to compete in this class. NOTE: BOTH VETERAN DOG AND VETERAN BITCH CLASSES WILL BE JUDGED AFTER WINNERS BITCH Best of Breed Competition SWEEPSTAKES 1. The Sweepstakes are open to all Yorkshire Terriers 6 months and under 12 months who are also entered in the REGULAR CLASSES. Champions of Record are not eligible. Entry is to be made at the SAME TIME as entries for the Regular Classes and on the regular official entry form which should be marked "Sweepstakes" (State Age) in the space provided for "additional classes". 2. The Sweepstakes fee is $6.00 per entry plus $24.00 for the regular puppy class fee. 3. Classes are as follows: Junior Dogs, 6 months of age and under 9 months of age. Junior Bitches, 6 months of age and under 9 months of age. One winner will be selected from the winners of the above classes as BEST JUNIOR. Senior Dogs, 9 months of age and under 12 months of age. Senior Bitches, 9 months of age and under 12 months of age. One winner will be selected from the winners of the above classes as BEST SENIOR. The Best Junior will complete against the Best Senior to determine GRAND SWEEPSTAKES WINNER. 4. In consideration of the acceptance of this entry and of the holding of this event and of the opportunity to have the dog judged and to win prizes, ribbons, or trophies, I (we) agree to hold the AKC, the event-giving club, their members, directors, governors, officers agents, superintendents or event secretary and the owner and/or lessor of the premises and any provider of services that are necessary to hold this event and any employees or volunteers of the aforementioned parties, and any AKC approved judge, judging at this event, harmless from any claim for loss or injury which may be alleged to have been caused directly or indirectly to any person or thing by the act of this dog while in or about the event premises or grounds or near any entrance thereto, and I (we) personally assume all responsibility and liability for any such claim; and I (we) further agree to hold the aforementioned parties harmless from any claim for loss, injury or damage to this dog. Additionally, I (we) hereby assume the sole responsibility for and agree to indemnify, defend and save the aforementioned parties harmless from any and all loss and expense (including legal fees) by reason of the liability imposed by law upon any of the aforementioned parties for damage because of bodily injuries, including death at any time resulting therefrom, sustained by any person or persons, including myself (ourselves), or on account of damage to property, arising out of or in consequence or my (our) participation in this event, however such, injuries, death or prperty damage may be caused, and whether or not the same may have been caused or may be alleged to have been caused by the negligence of the aforementioned parties or any of their employees, agents, or any other persons. I (WE) AGREE THAT ANY CAUSE OF ACTION, CONTROVERSY OR CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE ENTRY, EXHIBITION OR ATTENDANCE AT THE EVENT BETWEEN THE AKC AND/OR THE EVENT-GIVING CLUB (UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED IN ITS PREMIUM LIST) AND MYSELF (OURSELVES) OR AS TO THE CONSTRUCTION, INTERPRETATION AND EFFECT OF THIS AGREEMENT SHALL BE SETTLED BY ARBITRATION PURSUANT TO THE APPLICABLE RULES OF THE AMERICAN ARBITRATION ASSOCIATION. HOWEVER, PRIOR TO ARBITRATION ALL APPLICABLE AKC BYLAWS, RULES, REGULATIONS AND PROCEDURES MUST FIRST BE FOLLOWED AS SET FORTH IN THE AKC CHARTER AND BYLAWS, RULES, REGULATIONS, PUBLISHED POLICIES AND GUIDELINES.

(Variety) if you are entering a dog of a breed in which there are varieties for show purposes, please designate the particular variety you are entering, i.e., Cocker Spaniels (Black, ASCOB, Parti-color), Beagles (not exceeding 13 in.; over 13 in. but not exceeding 15 in.), Dachshunds (Longhaired, Smooth, Wirehaired), Bull Terriers (Colored, White), Manchester Terriers (Standard, Toy), Chihuahuas (Smooth Coat, Long Coat), English Toy Spaniels (King Charles and Ruby, Blenheim and Prince Charles), Poodles (Toy, Miniature, Standard), Collies (Rough, Smooth). The following categories of dogs may be entered and shown in Best of Breed Competition: Dogs that are Champions of Record and dogs which, according to their owner's records, have completed the requirements for a championship, but whose championships are unconfirmed. The showing of unconfirmed Champions in Best of Breed competition is Limited to a period of 90 days from the date of the show where the dog completed the requirements for a championship. (Dog Show Class) Consult the classification in this premium list, if the dog show class in which you are entering your dog is divided, then, in addition to designating the class, specify the particular division of the class in which you are entering your dog, i.e., age division, color division, weight division. A dog must be entered in the name of the person who actually owned it at the time entries for a show closed. If a registered dog has been acquired by a new owner it must be entered in the name of its new owner in any show for which entries closed after the date of acquirement, regardless of whether the new owner has received the registration certificate indicating that the dog is recorded in his name. State on the entry form whether transfer application has been mailed to A.K.C. (For complete rule refer to Chapter 14, Section 3.).

ENTRY FEE: $30.00 for the first entry of each dog except Puppy Class, which are $24.00, including $.50 A.K.C. recording fee & $3.00 AKC Event Service Fee). Each additional entry of the same dog is $14.00 except Sweepstakes which is $6.00. CLOSING DATE for entries 12:00 NOON, Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at Show Secretary's Office after which entries cannot be accepted, cancelled or substituted except as provided for in Chapter 11, Section 6 of the Dog Show Rules. THE SHOW will be open from 7:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M. A RECORDING FEE OF $.50 & a $3.00 AKC Event Service Fee will be required for each dog entered at any Licensed or Member Club Show, Obedience Trial or Tracking Test. This Recording Fee is to be collected by the Show-giving Club and paid to the American Kennel Club. If a dog is entered in more than one class in the show, the Recording Fee is to be collected on the first entry only. (American Kennel Club Rule, Chapter 14, Section 2). ENTRY FEES shall not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, excused by Veterinarian or Judge, or barred from competition by action of Show Committee. If because of riots, civil disturbances or other acts beyond the control of the management it is impossible to open or to complete the show, no refund of entry fee will be made. ERRORS ON ENTRY BLANKS. Owners are responsible for errors in making out entry forms, whoever may make such errors, and no entry fee will be refunded in event of such errors or cancellation of entries after the published closing date. NO REFUND FOR DUPLICATE ENTRIES. We will make every effort to find all duplicate entries, but if a dog has been processed, no refund will be made. CONSULT JUDGING PROGRAM FOR TIME OF JUDGING. DOGS MAY ARRIVE any time prior to their scheduled time of judging. DOGS NOT REQUIRED for further judging will be excused. JUDGES WILL NOT WAIT FOR ANY DOG HOLDING UP A CLASS. Owners or agents alone are responsible for the presence of their dogs in the judging ring when their classes are called to be judged. The show-giving club and the superintendent have no obligation or responsibility for providing service through a public address system or stewards or runners for the purpose of calling or locating dogs that are not brought into the ring when required. ALL DOGS PRESENT must be held on leash or confined to their crates except when being judged or when in the exercising ring. CLASS CASH PRIZES will be paid in the ring to the person showing the dog. Claims for prize money must be made in the ring before the judging of that breed is over, and the Show Secretary to be advised at once. The Show Secretary and Show-giving Club may disclaim any liability for cash prizes after the judging of the breed is over. THE SHOW COMMITTEE/SHOW SECRETARY will use due care and diligence for the welfare of dogs and exhibitors, but will not be responsible for, nor assume any liability in the event of an accident or misfortune to either dogs or exhibitors participating in this show. ADMISSION TICKETS, $5.00. NO DOG OWNED OR CO-OWNED by the Show Chairman and Assistant Show Chairman and their immediate families will be eligible for entry at this Specialty Show in any competitive class. SURRENDER OF IDENTIFICATION CARD must be made to the check clerk when requested, for removing dogs from the show. ALL GROOMING AND JUDGING WILL BE INDOORS. DIRECTIONS TO THE SHOW GROUNDS will be included in the judging schedule. NOTICE - All rights to TELEVISE, VIDEO TAPE, ADVERTISE, PHOTOGRAPH, PROMOTE OR otherwise exploit this event are vested in the KENNEL CLUB, or in persons to whom assignments of such rights have been made in writing by the Club. All persons and animals on the Showgrounds at any time while the show is in progress, do by attending this show or participating therein, grant to the Club the right to photograph, televise, video tape audiotape or otherwise use their likeness and voice in any manner without further release or consent. Effective May 1, 2006 an administrative fee of $2.00 will be withheld from all refunds for entries cancelled prior to the closing of entries. Effective January 1, 2009 - Refund and Cash award checks are void after 180 days and will NOT be re-issued.
