ah, DC Star... sometimes you make us so proud! (*tear*)
Trivia Night was a TREMENDOUS success! The manager at James Hoban's said that it was their biggest trivia night ever ever,
and with over 100 of you there to represent the league, it's pretty safe to assume that this was because of DC Star!
Congratulations to We're Kind of a Big Deal for winning the top spot... and yes, we mean ALL of Big Deal, as virtually the
entire team got together for a group effort to claim the prize. Although their winnings might not stretch as far split be-
tween, um, ten people, the prize is Big Deal's for the taking, and we congratulate them. Congratulations!
We ended up raising over $400 for
our charity, the Kendall Demonstration Elementary School, in honor of our former teammate, Kellie Pagano. Thanks
again to everyone for coming out, and especially to the 25 or so that ended up closing down the bar with your social
chairs (and Rum-

As always, the game began and ended on the high-note of one of the team’s classic breakfast related cheers.
Though, these were almost overshadowed by the comedy of Jiminy Kick-It’s first batter who confused, third
base for first. We just assumed she had a long night before, and was still getting it out of her system.
Back with a vengeance, Maple Syrup won a 5-0 victory over Jiminy Kick-It. After a three-game losing streak,
Maple Syrup has been bolstered by the win, and looks hopeful for upcoming games.
Maple Syrup came out swinging, scoring five runs in the first inning. However, the impressive defense put
the lockdown on Jiminy Kick-It, resulting in a shut-out after five innings. Most
impressive was an outstanding double play by the Catcher, Jon-Michel Osolnik,
whose diving catch and quick throw put the kibosh on that inning.
The flip-cup table continues to gather dust, as few Maple Syrup players, if any,
made the trek out to Kelly’s Irish Times. Please know that the players of Maple
Syrup enjoy cheap beer as much as breakfast, but just can’t force themselves to
make the 20-block walk. It’s pathetic. We know.
Check back after Memorial Day weekend, for the next exciting chapter. And as
Waffles, Pancakes, Maple Syrup!!!
Congratulations to Natalie
and Steph from 12 Step and
Kyle from The Wackos!

Mid Season Party Recap:
Thank you to all that attended our wonderful mid-season party
at McFadden's last Friday!
We did a great job getting people to rally early and be at the
bar before 9pm! The only downfall to getting people at the bar
earlier is that people get drunk earlier. The beerpong and flip-
cup games didn't help much.
A few of our favorite moments from MSP were: Matt's
(12Step) reaction to the guy selling paper towels in the rest-
room, Troy (12Step) mooching off Donna (Wacko) for the
party entrance fee, a JKI making out with a WAKA Shame
player, 12Step's late night IHOP meal, Natalie's
(12Step) adamant reaction to people trying to sneak in without
paying at the door - sorry Slumdog...it was an honest mistake,
Zane's (Wacko) freakout while serving door duty, the late night
dancing by Paul (JKI) and Tom (Wacko), Kyle
(Wackos) and Steph (12Step) attacking a girl at the
door for not paying, and although the social la-
dies saw some new potential hookups we fully
support all moves and will keep mum.
Keep an eye out for our next FANTAS-
TIC charity/social event!
Also, scratch off any current plans you have on Saturday, June 20th because we want you to
attend DC Star's Bar Golf! Details coming soon!
