DIRECTIONS TO OHMSETT FROM NWS EARLE PASS & ID OFFICE, COLTS NECK, NJ

    • Make a right turn onto Route 34 South.
    • Go about 1 mile and make a right turn at the traffic light onto Route 537 East.
    • Take Route 537 for about 5 miles. The first traffic light will be Monmouth County Route
        50. You will see a big church on your right. Bear left at the traffic light onto Monmouth
        County Route 50 North.
    • At the intersection of Routes 520 and 50, keep going straight through the traffic light.
You will see the Lincroft Inn Restaurant on your left. Route 50 now becomes
        Middletown Lincroft Road.
    • Turn right at the third traffic light onto Oak Hill Road.
    • Continue on Oak Hill Road, going across the railroad tracks.
    • At the intersection of Oak Hill Road and Route 35, go straight through the traffic light.
Oak Hill Road now becomes Chapel Hill Road.
    • Continue on Chapel Road for about 1 mile. After the cemetery on your right, make a left
        turn onto Sleepy Hollow Road.
    • Stay on Sleepy Hollow Road for about 2 miles. Go straight through the first traffic light
(Kings Highway). At the second light, bear left onto East Road and cross the railroad
        tracks.
    • Continue on East Road. At the second traffic light, make a right onto Route 36 South.
    • Go approximately 1 mile until you see the U and left turn sign at the traffic light for
Naval Weapons Station (NWS) Earle Waterfront, which is just before the overpass. Take
the jughandle, cross Rte. 36, and enter the base.

Since you are in a private vehicle, you must provide a valid driver’s license, registration, and
vehicle insurance identification (if in a rented car, show the auto rental agreement) at the
inspection garage.

After the guardhouse, drive straight ahead to the stop sign and make a right (firehouse across the
way). At the stop sign, turn left (follow signs to the Ohmsett Facility). Continue on this road out
toward the bay, keeping parallel with the railroad tracks on your right. Just after the tracks (but
before the guardhouse), turn right onto a gravel road, cross railroad yard, go thru the gates, and
turn right into the Ohmsett facility. We are located in Building R-26 (three-story building with a
canopy covering).
