§ 7-11-1 Licensing of Day Care and Nursery Schools
SEC. 7-11-1 LICENSING OF DAY CARE CENTERS AND NURSERY SCHOOLS.
(a) STATE LICENSE REQUIRED FOR DAY CARE CENTERS. No person shall
engage in the business of day care center or nursery school operator within the
Village who does not hold a valid day care center operator's licensed issued by the
Wisconsin Department of Health and Social Services.
(b) CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT REQUIRED.
(1) Every facility licensed as a day care center or a nursery school by the
State, or intending to operate within the Village corporate limits shall
apply for a Conditional Use Permit pursuant to Title 10, Article D of the
Village Zoning Code.
(2) The Conditional Use Permit shall be in addition to the State license and
shall be granted to each operator upon review and approval by the Plan
Commission. No Conditional Use Permit shall be granted unless the
operator of the premises has provided proof of valid license issued by the
State of Wisconsin for the operation of intended business.
