You can become a member of Asbury in one of the following ways: profession of fAith–This is the declaration to the church that Jesus Christ is your Savior and Lord. reAffirmAtion of fAith–Renewing your initial confession of faith after a period of inactivity, or not being on a church membership roll. trAnsfer of membership–From another United Methodist Church or a Christian church of another denomination. We recognize baptism from all other Christian churches. Each Sunday you will find a WELCOME CARD that you can complete. For Traditional Worship they are in the pews, and for Contemporary Worship, you will find them in this bulletin. At the end of each service the pastor will make an “Invitation to Join the Asbury Family.” Please completely fill out the WELCOME CARD and bring it with you as you come forward at the end of the worship service. Elements is a series of four classes held on four consecutive Wednesday evenings that are led by the pastors. They are designed to help new members learn about Asbury’s mission, strategy, areas of service and study opportunities based on 111.1. This is an excellent opportunity for you to fellowship with other new members, and meet some of the pastors and other key ministry leaders. FAITH STEPS Asbury’s Confirmation Experience is Apr 24 and Apr 25 for 5th and 6th graders who have not been confirmed. Registration forms can be picked up outside the Children’s Ministry office. CHILDREN’S MINISTRY “MISSION WEEK” for 3 year olds-rising 6th graders is July 6-10 from 9-noon. Registration for volunteers and their children will begin on Apr 19 in the Hospitality Room. Open registration begins May 3. Cost is $30 and fills up fast, so register soon. Missions and Me is for 3 year old-rising K and each child will need a parent volunteer to assist them each day.
