DEACON’S ANNUAL THANKSGIVING DINNER
Our annual Thanksgiving Dinner sponsored by our Deacons is Sunday, November 22nd starting at 6:00 p.m. This is a time our church family is invited to sit down at the table together in Christian fellowship, remember what God has done for us in an attitude of thanksgiving, and support the work of the Baptist Children’s Homes of North Carolina through a special offering. This year our meal will be provided by Port-A-Pit BBQ. Each plate will be $5 and includes a 1/2 chicken, baked beans, BBQ cole slaw, and a roll. Beverages will include tea, coffee, lemonade, and water. Some of the ladies within our church are providing homemade cakes, cookies, and brownies for dessert. Our very own kidTheatre children’s group will be performing during the evening. You may purchase a ticket online or at the table in the lobby.

BAPTIST CHILDREN’S HOMES OF NC helping hurting children…..healing broken families
Each year, North Carolina Baptists show their love and support for children by participating in the annual Thanksgiving Offering for Baptist Children's Homes (BCH). The theme for 2009 is Growing Hope. The Offering theme celebrates the glorious hope we have through Jesus Christ, and the cultivation of that hope evident in the lives of children and families we touch. Caring for countless children and families who turn to us daily is a mission that cannot be done alone. It takes a committed partnership between Baptist Children’s Homes and North Carolina Baptist churches. Together, we plant, nurture, and grow seeds of hope changing lives. Look for the blue envelope located in this bulletin.
