									Concerts in the Park

Huber Park Performances
Evening Concerts & Movies August 20-September 19
Huber Park Performance Area is the site for outdoor concerts and movies. This renovated park is the perfect setting for enjoyment of the whole family. Most performances are 45 minutes to an hour in length. Bring your blanket or lawn chair and enjoy the music. In case of inclement weather, performances will be cancelled and rescheduled at the end of summer. Call the Recreation Hotline at 952-233-9502 to find out if a performance has been cancelled.

Scary Skate & Spooky Family Fun Night
Test out your scary or funny costume the night before Halloween! Bring your family to the Shakopee Ice Arena and Community Center for a night of Halloween Fun. We will have crafts, open gym, skating and a moonwalk for your enjoyment. Remember to wear your costumes! Friday, October 30 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. Family $10.00 Individual $4.00

Join Shakopee Community Education and Shakopee Parks and Recreation in our 2nd Annual Community Pet Fair. The event is free to the public. It includes vendors, informational sessions, a pet pageant, a pet parade, door prizes, and a whole lot more! Due to the variety of pets that will be present, please leash or secure your pet. Mini-U.S. Open
Ages 3-6 (children must be accompanied by an NEW adult). Sign up now and be a part of this fun, new “tournament”! Tee-off on the temporary mini ninehole golf course. Participants will use a special three-club plastic golf set and sponge golf balls (which are supplied) while their parent or guardian caddies. Bring your camera to take a picture of your child next to the “Leader Board” with the trophy cup! Schedule your tee time between 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. by calling (952) 233-9500. Please check in at the Youth Building 10 minutes prior to your tee time. Goblin Boo-gie Dance Party!
Enigma becomes a haunted Halloween haven so costumed kids can march through and dance to boogie music. There will be classic disco & boo-gie tunes, dancing lights, bubbles machines, and hula hoops for this morning dance party for preschoolers. The entire family gets into the groove for this one-of-a-kind event. No need to pre-register. Treat kids to a fun and safe early Halloween event as a family night out. Children, ages 4 through 10, will receive a bag for “trick or treat” items along a Halloween Path, while showing off their Halloween costume. Donkey Basketball
Spectators will be entertained by donkey riders from Shakopee. The donkey ball show is 1 1/2 hour of wholesome, side splitting, donkey-loving, family fun. There will be 2 elimination games and one final championship game. Tickets may be purchased in advance for a discounted price at the Shakopee Community Center. Proceeds will go to help fund the HOPE scholarship program which provides recreation opportunities to those in the community that are experiencing financial hardship.
