"How to Distribute Materials Through the South Kitsap School"
How to Distribute Materials Through the South Kitsap School District All non-SKSD materials that are distributed via the SKSD must contain the following phrase: “The South Kitsap School District does not sponsor or endorse the activity and/or information contained in this flyer.” 1. Provide an original copy of the material you would like distributed to the Community Relations Dept. at the South Kitsap School District Office, 1962 Hoover Ave. SE, Port Orchard, WA 98366, email to email@example.com, or fax to 360-874-7068. 2. Include a completed “Request to Distribute Materials” form. Be sure to leave contact information so you can be informed if your materials have been approved. 3. Your material to be distributed must contain the phrase: “The South Kitsap School District does not sponsor or endorse the activity and/or information contained in this flyer.” Without this sentence, your material will not be distributed. You may either incorporate this phrase in the original flyer, or leave space on the master copy and bring it to the South Kitsap School District Office where it will be stamped with a stamp that contains this phrase. 4. The Director of Community Relations will review your materials. If your material is approved, you will be notified to pick up your signed “Request to Distribute form”, or receive an email or fax response. If your flyer has required the SKSD stamp, you may pick up your master copy. 5. Copy the material that you wish to distribute. 6. Bundle your material for classroom distribution per the “Elementary School Class Count” sheet available from the Community Relations Dept. Mark each bundle with school and grade. Deliver the bundles to each school no later than noon on Wednesday of the week you wish to distribute. If your material is not bundled, it will not be distributed. 7. Make a copy of the approval form for each school where you intend to distribute your bundled material. Take the copy with you and leave it at the school with your material. If you do not have an approval sheet, your materials will not be distributed. 8. Outside materials may not be sent through the district mail. You must take your materials directly to each school. 9. Approval of materials in no way implies endorsement by the South Kitsap School District. Distribution of materials is not guaranteed and is ultimately at the discretion of the principal.
