The re are millions of people with disabilities in Texas, including many of our brave military men and

and support, we can make sure these Texans can take active roles in the workforce and in our communities.
Texas takes pride in its efforts to offer those with disabilities ample opportunities to find mean ingful

Rehabilitative Services he lped more than 25,000 Texa ns with disabilities find employment.
Each October, there is a campaign to highl ight the importance of equal employment opportunities for
Texans with disabilities and to recognize the many achievements of the individuals dedicated to this cause.
This yea r, the State of Texas will honor the following businesses, organiza tions and individuals for their success

MicroSystems in Austin, Jared Galleria of Jewelry in Austin, Judy Bland of Fort Worth, Sandra Spoonemore of
Plano, and the Waco Mayor' s Committee on People with Disabi lities. This yea r's Texas disability employment

At this time, I encourage all Texa ns to observe this month by recognizing the strengths and talents that
