Development Internship Job Description The Development Department is responsible for individual donor fundraising activities. Programs include direct mail, workplace giving, grants, car donation program, Adopt-A-Wish Program, planned gifts, and many others. We are looking for an individual to help us implement, develop and expand our programs in the following ways: -Grants: research potential new funding sources from private, family, and corporate foundations. Write and submit proposals to various Bay Area foundations. -Marketing pieces: compile and organize wish stories and photos to be used in direct mail pieces, website, and Adopt-A-Wish communication pieces. This position will also include data entry, donor acknowledgement letters, database administration, and other duties as assigned. The ideal candidate would be available 8 hours a week, be computer literate, have basic research skills, work well with a variety of personalities, and be flexible.
