Example of a Student essay:
Prince Caspian
By C.S. Lewis
Report by Breanne

The book Prince Caspian is a great fiction book by C.S. Lewis. It takes place in the
summer, in Narnia, a make-believe country. This book is in a series, and it is the first book that
Prince Caspian appears in.
The protagonists are Peter, Susan, Lucy, Edmund, and Prince Caspian. They are all
siblings, except Prince Caspian, and they all became kinds and queens of Narnia, in their last
book. Peter is the oldest and wisest and was made king in the last visit to Narnia. Susan is a
wise, but foolish queen, and Lucy is a caring queen, while Edmund is a high king learning lessons
during his life. Prince Caspian was adopted by an evil king, who is now out to get him. While the
siblings were in England waiting for a bus, Susan’s magical horn pulled them into Narnia again. It
took a while before they realized why there were in Narnia. It was because they were needed to
help Prince Caspian defeat his uncle in battle. The climax was when Caspian’s father challenged
Pete to a dual. The winner would win the battle. Peter won the match and saved his army and
Prince Caspian. Then Peter was crowned king.
I learned that if someone comes to you for help, you should help him. I recommend to
anyone who likes a great adventure or make-believe stories to read this book.
